Tightly bunched 6-inch bibb-style rosettes form a crispy romaine style heart surrounded by tender dark green outer leaves. Somewhat heat tolerant.

Sow seeds in the cool weather of spring, fall, or mild winter at a depth of 1/8 inch and 6-8 inch spacing. Can be started indoors 4 to 6 weeks before planting out. Harvest full size heads before they begin to elongate by cutting at the base of the plant. Harvest full size heads in as little as 45 days!

Lettuce seeds will not germinate in high temperatures. In warmer weather, cool the soil by supplying sufficient irrigation, planting in partial shade, or starting seeds indoors.
